Restorative Clinical Supervision (RCS) sessions

As a part of our Learning, Education and Support Programme (LESP) for students attending Sherwood Forest Hospitals, we are offering a group Restorative Clinical Supervision (RCS) session.

The A-EQUIP model is a framework for use in clinical supervision to enable change and critically examine nursing practice.

How the A-EQUIP works for nurses (NHS England, 2021):

  • Advocating for the patient, the nurse and healthcare staff
  • Providing clinical supervision using a restorative approach
  • Enabling nurses to undertake personal action for quality improvement
  • Promoting education and development for nurses

Sessions are confidential – there’s no agenda – and they provide a safe space to think and reflect. Discussions can be about anything for example:

  • A recent event or something that has happened in clinical practice.
  • Confidence or resilience.
  • Wellbeing or mental health.
  • Personal statement or job application planning.

Please have a think if there is something that you would like to discuss before attending so we have some focus to the session. There will only be seven places available per session so please email sfh-tr.practicelearning@nhs.net to book on the session ASAP.

If you want to organise a session with a different PMA/PNA, you can see more profiles on our SFH intranet pages - just type PNA into the search bar.
